Writer, come home! Join #TribeWriters2.0

A few days ago, when I first logged in the brand new version of Tribe Writers from my smartphone, the first sentence I saw was this: You are here: Home.

I knew that the sentence was about my position in the website, but this made me smile, because that’s how Tribe Writers make me feel: home.
My approach to Tribe Writers has been hesitant and slow. A few years ago I was working in an company that treats tomatoes and I was doing a lot of night shifts (a lot of night shifts). I had to oversee my working area but at night there was little to do, so I had plenty of free time, that’s why I brought my Kindle with me to catch up with my reading.
One night I had just finished a very good fantasy novel and I was searching for something different, when I saw this book in my archive: You Are a Writer (so start acting like one). I couldn’t even remember when I had downloaded it, but since I was thinking about resuming my writing, it seemed the right choice. I started reading it and couldn’t put it down until I reached the end.
It was amazing! Enlightening!
It made me want to pick up my pen and write like crazy, but most important it changed my mindset. I learnt from that book that, if I wanted to be a writer, I had to believe in it myself first and work hard to make my dream come true, because no one else would have done it in my place.
Since the message in the book was so incredible, I decided that I wanted to know more about the author, Jeff Goins, and I started reading his blog. That’s how I came to know about Tribe Writers.
But what’s Tribe Writers?
It’s an online course created by Jeff Goins, who helps writers and bloggers to improve their craft and, at the same time, learn how to promote and sell their work so that the world can hear their message.
At first I was unsure. It seemed so interesting but there were several things that were holding me back. One was the language. Back then my English wasn’t very good and I wasn’t sure I wolud have been able to understand everything.
The other was the price. It wasn’t high to be honest, but still I wasn’t sure it was a good idea to spend money on my passion for writing.
I dwelt on it for a while, but the time when the subscription were going to close was approaching fast and I had to decide. I talked about it with my boyfriend and with my parents and in the end my mother said “you already know you want to do it, so do it.” She was pretty exasperate.
It was all the encouragement that I needed! I subscribed, payed the fee and I was in.
Let me tell you, it was the best purchase ever!
Not only I gained access to an incredible amount of incredible material, but also I had the chance to enter the most incredible community of writers out there. I’m not overstating, believe me. The Tribe Writers community is the more supportive and helpful group of people I’ve ever met. And they have been absolutely essential in my journey, which started with a vague idea and now has the form of a finished novel I’m going to publish.
Tribe Writers changed my view about writing so it basically changed my life and now it’s even more interesting and complete, because it has been upgraded to Tribe Writers 2.0. You can learn more here. Registration is opened only a couple of times a year, so don’t miss this chance!
In case you are worndering, nobody is paying me for saying these things. I wrote this post because I truly believe in Tribe Writers and in what it can do for everyone.
